Arlington, Home of the Eagles

Eagles, once on the endangered list, are making a huge comeback, especially in our area. In the winter time when the trees are bare the nests are easy to spot and are usually found in the tops of the cottonwood trees along the creeks and rivers. The eagles in our area in most cases do not migrate but instead are joined by migrating eagles from north of here.
We are blessed to live in a place with an eagle's nest within view of our home. Watching and journaling the eagles has become a favorite pastime. If you are planning a visit to our area or have further interest in the eagles, let us know. We will send you a driving tour that will pass by several nests and give you the opportunity to see them yourself.
