When we were younger and first married, we enjoyed picnics in the woods where our small children would have a chance to play in the river and run carefree through the paths and trails explore nature’s gifts. It brought back memories of our own youth when we would skip rocks, catch minnows and feel the cold water between our toes. We would imagine that we could somehow live there, in that beautiful setting, forever.

Now we do. We live on a year round waterway with a splendid view of a year round eagles nest just 160 feet from our deck. Home, at the end of the day, is truly a sanctuary. We consider ourselves so very lucky to live in this beautiful place known as Arlington.   Arlington and Snohomish County has so much to offer its residents. The rivers cross through fertile valleys, the evergreens grow thick and lush, the mountain views magnificently surround us. The sound, the islands and the snow capped mountains are always within a leisurely drive and downtown Seattle and the Canadian border are only an hour or so away.
